Your waste has more value than you think. We help you find it.

Bio-Power’s Advisory Services help facility owners and operators evaluate the strategic financial value of their waste streams, before committing to any technology or capital investment. Whether you generate woody residuals, agricultural waste, or dried digestate, we assess the full range of pathways available and identify the one that delivers the strongest return.

What We Assess

We evaluate your waste across every viable conversion pathway, not just the obvious one.

Most facility owners know their waste costs money to dispose of. Fewer realize the same material could generate revenue through multiple channels. We analyze the economics of each:

  • Heat — On-site thermal energy to offset gas and propane costs

  • Power — Electricity generation for internal use or grid supply

  • Biochar — A carbon-negative co-product with emerging market value

  • Pelletization — Densified fuel products for sale or on-site use

How We Value It

The right pathway depends on how the economics play out at your site.

We model three revenue and savings structures for each conversion pathway:

  • Internal use — Displacing purchased energy and eliminating disposal costs

  • Grid supply — Selling power or thermal energy to the grid or neighboring facilities

  • Carbon credits — Monetizing emissions reductions and carbon removal where eligible

The result is a clear, comparable financial picture across all options, so you can make a decision based on data, not assumptions.

Feedstocks

We work with solid biomass and select organic residuals.

Our advisory services are focused on two feedstock categories:

  • Woody waste — Mill residuals, forest thinnings, pallets, construction and demolition wood, agricultural prunings, and nut shells

  • Low-moisture digestates — Dried solid digestate and woody bedding from livestock and dairy operations with existing anaerobic digestion systems

How It Works

A structured process that moves at your pace.

  • Screening — A complimentary initial assessment to determine whether your waste stream and facility profile warrant deeper analysis

  • Strategic Financial Assessment — A detailed, technology-neutral evaluation of conversion pathways, revenue models, and capital requirements

  • Engineering & Implementation — If a project moves forward, we connect you with our engineering partners and can structure financing through our project finance group
